The Champe Carter Winston Letters consist of 192 letters exchanged between Champe Carter Winston and her friends and family members during the four years she attended Barnard College from 1932-1936. The letters document Champe Carter Winston’s familial and social life and sketch a picture of what daily life was like for a relatively privileged Barnard student during the 1930s in New York City.
